Car Safety Ratings Dataset

A rough and ready dataset scraped from NHTSA to build a car safety database website.

The NHTSA has an API for this data that you can use to build a list by make, model, year and rating.

The idea was to build an entire site around this answering questions like "how safe is {make} {model}?" or "what is the safest car in {year}?".

I don't have the time to build it, so I am giving it away for free. Do as you choose with it.

You may need to hire a dev to get the latest data - this was scraped in August 2022 by a developer I found on Upwork:
